In this game I revised my knowledge about Exponents by answering the equations given. It had given a selection of questions to answer. Some of the questions were easy and some were challenging. Next I would like to learn more about integers.
I am a Year 8 student at Glen Innes School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 12 and my teacher is Mrs Barry.

Order of Operations Game
In this game I had to find the order of operations by using Bedmas. It was easy for me because I followed the Bedmas rule. Next I would like to work more on a challenging order of operations game.
Order of Operations
In this game I used the Bedmas rule to solve the operations. Bedmas stands for bracket, exponent, division, multiplication, addition and subtraction. It was challenging at first but since I’ve learnt the Bedmas rule all week I found it easy afterwards. Next I would like to practice more challenging operations.

In this game I had to follow the co-ordinates on the right side of the screen, to feed the bug. I needed a more challenging game as I thought this game was really easy. Overall I would next like to learn more about integers.

13 ways of showing 1/2
WALT: Show 1/2 in 13 different ways.
In this game you have to know what a half is, and how you can show a half in 13 different ways. This game was very easy because I just had to highlight 4 triangles to make a half. Next I would like to learn how to show a 1/2 in 20 different ways.

Scale Drawings
I learned to use scale to enlarge my drawing. I used a scale of 1 cm to represent 4 cm. This means my drawing is 4 times bigger. The task was challenging because I needed to practice more because it was my first time enlarging a picture. Next I would like to learn how to draw different pictures on a bigger scale.

Positioning Fractions
WALT: Position fractions on the number line.
In this game I needed to know my equivalent fractions, the size and order of fractions and how many lines each section is divided into on the number line. It was challenging because I got confused trying to place an improper fraction on the number line. Next I would like to practice more on positioning improper fractions on the number line.

Comparing Fractions
I thought this level of the game was easy because I just had to pile the poo up, so all the denominators are the same. But on level 3 it was really difficult trying to match the fractions in place to make a sentence. My high score was 8 Mystic Prunes, I want to get 20 Mystic Prunes next time. Next I would like to learn more about matching the fractions to make the sentence.

Fraction Game - Addition
WALT: Play a Fraction game, addition.
In this game I had to add three fractions with like denominators. I was on level 2b of the game. It was easy. But It was difficult trying to press the correct fractions because, other fruits will block the way. My final score was 27 but next time I want to get 30. I want to learn equivalent fractions.

Word Problems: Mutiplication and Division.
I had to find the product of 9 and 6 by building a model. I had to figure out how many inches does a car move in 4 seconds. Every car moves 9 inches ever second. It was easy to answer the question because I already know my times tables. Next I would like to learn how to build a different model to answer multiplication and division word problems.

Comparing Decimals

Comparing the decimals with symbols was challenging, but I was able to work my way around it. I would like to improve my score by getting 100%. Next I would like to learn how to multiply decimals by decimals mentally.

Drag and Drop
W.A.L.T: work out the divisibility tests.
The problems that were given was challenging at first but I was able to complete all the problems. The strategy that I used was short division, I divided each number separately by 9. I need to practice more on dividing bigger numbers. I would like to learn how to divide decimals, by using an efficient strategy.

Division
W.A.L.T: revise multiplication tables and the related division facts.
The strategy I used was multiplication to answer the division problem, thats how I found the quotient of 72 and 6. This game was easy, because I know my division. Next I would like to learn efficient ways to solve division problems.

Lose a Life!
This game is as easy as knowing your prime numbers. When you hover over a balloon you have to answer a yes or no question. If you answer the question correctly then the balloon will pop, and another balloon will pop up. If you get the answer wrong you lose a life. But make sure you're fast to answer because you have a time limit.

Fruit Shooter
To revise our knowledge on LCM (short for least common multiple) we had to play a basic facts game known as LCM fruit shooter. In this game you had to find which multiple is common between two numbers that pop up. Then you will have a variety of fruit you have to shoot to get your answer correct; It’s pretty simple.
