G.I Bootcamp

Wow, I can't believe that it's the first time ever, our school has made a Manaiakalani movie. Also a movie showing at the film festival from Glen Innes School. Having netbook's is one of the best thing that has happened to our school. Without it we probably wouldn't be having this wonderful opportunity that I am experiencing now.

Making every part of this movie has built our brains but mostly laughter. It was just like an ordinary school day. We worked during the holidays trying to finish it off before the big day. Our school disco was my main topic in the movie sharing how much fun we had there.

Our movie contains activities, learning and shows students that have developed good values during this fantastic year. I had a awesome time making our movie.  I bet you will have fun watching it too.

I got an invitation!

An invitation I say to myself! Well on the 6th of September the students of room 11 and room 12 at Glen Innes School have been invited, to discuss our ideas with the Archimedia group. This group is made up of 3 people. These 3 adults have worked with a lady called Vanessa. Vanessa works for the Auckland City Council.  The Auckland City Council was kind enough to provide 8 million dollars to make this happen, so I would like to thank The Auckland City Council as well. Now you must be thinking, to make what happen? Well these 3 people have different jobs. There jobs are special because they are going to build a Glen Innes Music and Arts Centre For Youth. So Lindsay is an Architect, he is kind of the main person but he has to work with two ladies. There names are Jo and Debbie. Jo helps with the sustainability of this project, and Debbie has a big job, she helps with the landscape of this project as well.

Our teacher Mrs Barry came up with a wonderful idea. Her idea was that if Debbie could plan a flying fox that goes all the way to the aquatic centre that goes pass Elstree Ave, then travels to the Pt England Reserve. Wouldn't that be cool? I also had heaps of ideas myself.

As it was finishing we had a student to say thank you for sharing their splendid idea with Glen Innes School. Both room 11 and room 12 had a great time.

Now it's your turn, before they left they gave us these books. They had their details for people to share their great ideas with them. So head on to this link now:
